Purpose & Overview

It is critical that students feel that they are included and their voices are heard when it comes to creating a positive learning culture. Sharing student perception survey data back with students and asking for their input is a key routine shown to increase a variety of factors known to support student success, including students' sense of belonging, when done 4 or more times a year.

How To Do It

  1. Give students a quick survey to assess their perception of classroom learning conditions
  2. Look at the data
  3. Choose 4 celebrations, 2 areas of growth, and determine a question (42Q) to pose to your students to solicit their ideas for improving the areas of growth
